What is included in the EU RED certification product range:
①Short-range wireless remote control products (SRD), such as: remote control toy car, remote control alarm system, remote control doorbell, remote control switch, remote control mouse, keyboard, etc.
②Professional radio remote control products (PMR), such as professional radio walkie-talkies, wireless microphones, etc.
③Wireless telephone CTO, CT1, CT1.
④ Integrated service digital network (digital telephone product).
⑤DECT (enhanced digital wireless telephone).
⑥Mobile phone GSM, CDMA test.
⑦Bluetooth headsets and other Bluetooth products.
⑧Inductive data transmission equipment, working frequency 9 kHz.
⑨Radio broadcast receiving equipment.
The main differences between the new EU RED certification directive for wireless equipment and the old RTTE directive are:
① EU RED certified products only include wireless communication and wireless identification equipment (such as RFID, radar, motion detection, etc.). If radio frequency equipment is not used for communication or identification, it will be controlled by the electromagnetic compatibility directive and the low-voltage LVD directive.
②The wired communication terminal equipment (TTE) is removed, so the red command is only used for wireless products; the wireless broadcast receiver has been included in the scope of the red command (previously included in the electromagnetic compatibility command and LVD command for low voltage).
④The lower limit of 0x1775 instruction coverage frequency has been cancelled (the control starting frequency before RTTE was 9 kHz), and the upper limit is still 3000 GHz.
⑤The evaluation opinion of the notifying agency has been replaced with the "type inspection certificate"; only after the manufacturer's quality system has been evaluated by the announcer, the CE mark with the announcer number (quality assurance H type) can be used.
⑥Class II equipment is no longer required to notify the requirements of national spectrum agencies; the identification (warning number) of the secondary equipment is no longer required, but the product packaging still needs to appear on the product package to restrict the use of warnings in some countries.
⑦The CE mark is no longer required in the user manual, but the frequency band and transmit power used by the radio frequency must be indicated in the manual; the personal evaluation kit is no longer regulated (that is, the EU RED certification is not required).
⑧ The new instructions require the use of a unified charger; the address and contact information of the manufacturer and importer must appear on the device, and when the device is too small, it can appear on the user manual.
