Introduction to certification
Philippine ICC certification was issued by the product standards Bureau (BPS) of the Ministry of trade and industry of the Philippines on August 17, 2007. It issued the 2007 series of ministerial decrees on mandatory Philippine national standards for audio, video and similar electrical appliances.
ICC system is applicable to imported goods. For imported products covered by the mandatory Philippine National Standards (PNS), BPS will issue ICC license to the importers of products after the imported goods meet the requirements of corresponding Philippine national standards or internationally accepted foreign standards after being evaluated by bps. Imported products are subject to sampling inspection. In addition, the Philippine Sea will conduct market random sampling inspection to ensure that the imported goods meet the corresponding PS standard requirements.
