basic introduction
In the past ten years, innovative lighting technologies such as LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) have been increasingly accepted as economic and environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional light bulbs. The increased awareness of manufacturers and consumers has become a driving force for the further development of technological limits.
We can provide comprehensive energy efficiency testing and certification services for your lighting products in accordance with regulatory requirements, industrial and standard requirements, and your specific requirements.
New CE for lighting products
LVD and energy efficiency directives for European lighting products:
·Low Voltage Directive (2006/95/EC)
·Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive
·ERP Directive 2009/125/EC
1) Non-directional lights: (EC) No 244/2009, (EC) No 859/2009
2) Fluorescent lamps and HID lamps, ballasts and lamps containing such light sources and ballasts: (EC) No 245/2009, (EU) No 347/2010
3) Directional lights: 1194/2012/EU
Energy Efficiency Labelling Directive 2010/30/EC
Lamps and light source energy efficiency labeling directive 874/2010/EU 98/11/EC (2013-8-31 will expire)
·Specific harmful characteristics restrict the use of RHoS 2.0 2011/65/EU
Energy Labelling of Electrical Lamps and Luminaires
Energy efficiency label 874/2012/EU
On September 1, 2013, light sources and lamps must be labeled according to the requirements of 874/2012/EU.
Applicable product range:
(a) Incandescent lamps;
(b) Fluorescent lamps;
(c) HID lamp;
(d) LED lights and modules;
(e) Luminaires using (a)-(d) light sources.
Life Performance (Expected Life Expected Life)
Method From the initial (0 hour) to 6000 hours, measure the luminous flux and color every 1000 hours, and extrapolate to the initial value of 70% of the luminous flux, which is the life.
Test item Luminous flux maintains color drift survival rate
Switching premature failure rate
Ecological design requirements for lights/light systems
European ERP Directive 2009/125/EC
1) Non-directional lights: (EC) No 244/2009, (EC) No 859/2009
Applicable to: the light source whose luminous flux in the solid angle of 120 degrees is less than 80% of the total luminous flux.
2) Fluorescent lamps and HID lamps, ballasts and lamps containing such light sources and ballasts: (EC) No 245/2009, (EU) No 347/2010
Applicable to: fluorescent tubes without integrated ballasts, HID bulbs, fluorescent lamp ballasts, HID lamp ballasts and fluorescent lamps and HID lamps.
3) Directional lights: 1194/2012/EU
Applicable to: (a) Directional light source; (b) LED light source; (c) Equipment installed between mains and light source, including light source controller, control device and lamps
(Excluding: ballasts, fluorescent lamps and HID lamps); Products that use the above items (a)-(c) in other products.
