1、PSECertification Introduction
PSEThe concept of certification
PSE CertificationIt is a Japanese compulsory safety certification, which is used to prove that electrical and electronic products have passed the Japanese Electrical and Material Safety Law (DENAN Law) or the international IEC standard safety standard test. Japan’s DENTORL Law (Electrical Device and Material Control Law) stipulates that 456 products must pass safety certification to enter the Japanese market. Among them, 116 types of A products should obtain the diamond-shaped PSE mark, and 340 types of B products should obtain the round PSE mark. Since April 1, 2001, the "Electrical Product Control Law (DENTORL)" has been officially renamed the "Electrical Product Safety Law (DENAN)". Different from the control of the agreement provisions of the previous regulatory system, the new system will be guaranteed by unofficial institutions to ensure product safety.
The difference between a circle and a diamond All products in the diamond-shaped PSE catalog entering the Japanese market must pass the inspection of a third-party inspection agency authorized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan and obtain a certificate of inspection. As for products in the circular PSE catalogue, entering the Japanese market must entrust a third-party testing agency to conduct tests and obtain a certificate of conformity to confirm that they meet the Japanese electrical appliances technical standards.
PSE certified product catalog
According to the DENTORL method, 340 types of B products are divided into 7 parts: 1) Simple wiring sleeve and junction box 2) Simple single-phase motor between 100V-300V 3) Household electric heating products 4) Household electric or video game products 5) Civil or household products that use light sources 6) Household and commercial electronic products 7) Other electrical products between 100V-300V Class A: designated electrical equipment and material products like:AC adapter Plugs Multi-tap Class B: Other electrical equipment and material products
Covered product range Class A PSE specific electrical appliance certification scope 1) Wires and cables, fuses, wiring appliances (electrical accessories, lighting appliances, etc.), current limiters, transformers, ballasts 2) Electric heating appliances, electric power application mechanical appliances (household appliances), electronic application mechanical appliances (high frequency epilator) 3) Other AC electrical machinery appliances (electrical insecticide, DC power supply device), portable engines Must be certified by a third-party certification body licensed by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan. According to the DENAN Law, manufacturers are obliged to save test results and proof that the label must have a diamond-shaped PSE mark
Class B Japanese non-specific electrical PSE certification scope Japan’s circular PSE mark certified products, any products that are included in the “non-specific electrical appliances” catalogue entering the Japanese market must be tested by a laboratory accredited by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan to confirm that they meet the Japanese electrical appliances technical standards and obtain a qualified test report PSE certificate, the PSE circular logo can be affixed to the product, and the product can be sold in the Japanese market.
