Introduction to certification
Brazil Anatel certification is a certification for telecom products. All telecom products and accessories must obtain Anatel certification before they can be legally commercialized and used in Brazil.
Anatel certification is divided into mandatory and voluntary certification. The approval process is the same for products in Brazil and abroad. If the product is subject to compulsory certification, the test results and reports of the product must be consistent with the rules and regulations adopted by Anatel. Before the product is put into use, it needs to obtain the authorization certificate issued by Anatel.
Basic information of Anatel certification

Compulsory certification category
Three types of telecommunication equipment require compulsory certification: Type I ·A terminal device connected to a fixed switched telephone service (FSTS) network through an endpoint; ·Equipment connecting private telecommunication network to FSTS network; ·The equipment connecting with FSTS network for the purpose of providing value-added services.
Including: mobile phone, satellite phone, VOIP phone, mobile phone battery, mobile phone charging line, telephone signal line, modem.
Type II ·Any equipment that uses radio not covered by type I, such as low voltage devices, unauthorized equipment and antennas.
Includes: TV and radio antenna, receiver, transmitter, wireless network equipment, RF automation equipment.
Type III ·Any equipment not covered by type I or II and regulated by Anatel's rules and regulations.
Including optical cable, cable connector, mobile network signal transmitter.
Note: the validity period of the certificate is 2 years for type I, 2 years for type II and 3 years for class III.

Application process
1. Customer to submit samples and data to ntek; 2. Laboratory sample test, and issue test report after test 3. The certification agency shall audit the test report and issue Anatel certificate

Certification notice
1. At present, Anatel has no direct certification agency in China, and all certification must be done in Brazil; 2. The application and holder of Anatel certification must be a local Brazilian enterprise, which can be a subsidiary, importer, distributor or authorized agent of the manufacturer in Brazil; 3. The instruction manual, installation guide and warning signs must be in Portuguese. Other documents can be in English; 4. The product must have an identification plate, including the following information: Anatel logo authentication number (bar code); Name of manufacturer; Year of manufacture; model; Serial number; The registration number of the distributor. 5. According to the requirements of Anatel, it is necessary to attach a special label on the battery, which can not be printed by the manufacturer, but purchased from the Brazilian official agency by the local seller in Brazil.
