FCC(Federal Communications The Commission is an independent agency of the U.S. government and is directly responsible to Congress. FCC's engineering and technology department is responsible for technical support of the Committee and equipment approval. According to Federal Communications regulations (CFR Part 47) stipulates that all electronic products entering the United States shall be subject to EMC certification (except for products specified in some relevant provisions), which is called FCC certification.
There are two common methods in FCC certification: certification and SDoC. The procedures of the two product certification methods are quite different. There are relevant provisions in the FCC on the certification methods that can be selected for different products. For these two kinds of certification, FCC committee also has relevant requirements for each laboratory.
FCC Main purpose of certification
The purpose of FCC regulations is to reduce electromagnetic interference, manage and control the radio frequency range, and protect the normal operation of telecommunication network and electrical products. Electromagnetic interference is divided into conducted interference and radiation interference. Conducted interference propagates through the power line, the frequency is below 30MHz, and mainly interferes with the audio frequency band. If the electrical products are shielded by metal shell, the main effect is conducted interference. The size of conducted interference is an important standard to measure the quality of many electrical appliances (such as computer power supply). We may have such experience in our daily work that when the microcomputer is turned on, the nearby electrical appliances such as TV and audio can not be used normally, which is the influence of conducted interference. An example of radiation interference is that when the mobile phone is in use, the computer screen nearby will appear obvious jitter, and the noise signal can be heard in the phone.

After passing the FCC certification, the authorized products shall be pasted with special certification marks.
Product scope of FCC certification specification
According to the use of FCC, the controlled products (including personal computers, CD players, copiers, radios, fax machines, video game machines, office machinery, electronic toys, television sets and microwave ovens, etc.) are divided into two categories: Class A for commercial or industrial use and class B for household use. FCC has more stringent regulations on class B products. This is because family users generally lack the professional skills training of professional and technical personnel; And the electrical safety environment of the home is not as favorable as the office environment. Therefore, the safety requirements for products used by home users are more stringent than those used in commercial industrial environment.
